Softball Recap: Girls Prep Comes Up Short

Girls Prep lost against Soddy Daisy back in April of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bruisers fell 7-3 to the Trojans. That's two games in a row now that the Bruisers have lost by exactly four runs.

Jayla Gladden made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Girls Prep has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-8 record this season. As for Soddy Daisy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-12-1.

Coming up, Girls Prep will take on Baylor at 5:00 p.m. on May 6. As for Soddy Daisy, they have already played their next game, a 4-2 victory against Silverdale Academy on the 29th.
