Basketball Recap: Wessington Springs Spartans vs. Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots
Wessington Springs was the 46-45 winner over Hitchcock-Tulare when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Wessington Springs Spartans took a 52-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots on Thursday.
Hitchcock-Tulare got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Katelyn Schroeder out in front who posted 16 points. Schroeder's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmerie Arthurs, who went 6-for-10 on her way to 17 points.
Wessington Springs dropped their record down to 7-11 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Hitchcock-Tulare, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season.
