Baseball Recap: Stanton County Trojans vs. Southwestern Heights Mustangs        
        
		
            
 Stanton County came into Saturday's   contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged the Southwestern Heights Mustangs out  10-9. The high-scoring effort was just what Stanton County needed considering they were shutout in their previous   matchup.
  Ian Floyd made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Floyd was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  David Crane was  incredible,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Alvin Solis, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-5.
 On Southwestern Heights' side,  Rodrigo Sanchez was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring three  runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaime Garcia, who  went 3-for-5 with four  RBI.
 Stanton County's win  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 6-8. As for Southwestern Heights, their loss  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 6-13.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: they beat Stanton County by a score of  5-3 later that day.
