Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Branson). They took down the Monett Cubs 79-62 on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Pirates as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 5-7. As for Monett, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-8.

Branson will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Marshfield at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Monett has already played their next game (against Clever), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
