Softball Recap: St. Maries Lumberjacks vs. Grangeville Bulldogs

St. Maries couldn't quite beat Grangeville on Saturday but the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the ten-point loss they were dealt on Saturday. The St. Maries Lumberjacks fell just short of the Grangeville Bulldogs by a score of 13-11. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for St. Maries in their matchups with Grangeville: they've now lost three in a row.

Addyson Stewart led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4. Another player making a difference was Emily Stoke, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

On Grangeville's side, Siena Wagner and Adri Anderson did most of the damage at the plate: Wagner scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Anderson went 3-for-5 with two runs, a triple, and two RBI.
