Baseball Game Preview: Heritage Christian Warriors vs. Tustin Tillers

The Heritage Christian Warriors will challenge the Tustin Tillers at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Tustin's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Heritage Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over Adelanto. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.

Heritage Christian got a massive performance out of Cullen Hirtensteiner, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles Hirtensteiner has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Eden Nalin, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Meanwhile, Tustin came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged out the Lobos 2-0. That's two games straight that the Tillers have won by exactly two runs.

Tustin saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Benally, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Tustin pushed their record up to 13-15-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.67 runs across that stretch. As for Heritage Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8-1 record this season.
