Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hereford). They blew past the Borger Bulldogs 79-40 on Friday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-16.

When it comes to explaining why Borger lost, don't look at Tahqulin Brooks. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 24 points and 16 boards. Brooks' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Hereford's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 10-11. As for Borger, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hereford will take on Perryton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hereford will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Borger, they will face off against Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
