Union County has gone 9-1 against Caldwell County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Considering the Tigers have won five games by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Ari Wells, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Paul Fallgreen was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing five bases.

Caldwell County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Caldwell County's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Union County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Union County beat Caldwell County 5-2 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will Union County repeat their success, or does Caldwell County has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
