Soccer Recap: Stoughton Takes a Loss

Stoughton fell victim to McFarland and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Spartans. While losing is never fun, Stoughton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 113th, while McFarland are ranked 18th).

Stoughton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for McFarland, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Stoughton will be playing at home against Mount Horeb at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McFarland, they will head out on the road to square off against Lakeside Lutheran at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Lakeside Lutheran's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
