It was a good run, but Decatur Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 6-2 to the Plainfield Quakers. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Quakers earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Decatur Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Dalton, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base. Dalton has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Decatur Central's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Plainfield, their record is now 9-7.

Looking ahead, Decatur Central will be playing at home against Brownsburg at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Plainfield, they will head out on the road to square off against Center Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
