Soccer Game Preview: Brewer vs. Azle

The Brewer Bears will square off against the Azle Hornets at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

If Azle heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Brewer took over last week. The Bears walked away with a 3-1 victory over Granbury on Tuesday. That's two games straight that Brewer have won by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in January, Azle was forced to settle for a draw on Friday. Neither they nor Granbury could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

The win got Brewer back to even at 7-7-1. Azle's draw gives them a new season record of 8-7-2.

Brewer beat Azle by a goal when the teams last played back in March of 2025, winning 2-1. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
