Volleyball Recap: Winneconne Takes a Loss

Winneconne lost against Chippewa Falls on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wolves fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 2-1.

Malia Bodoh paced Winneconne's offense, picking up ten kills. Bodoh got some help from Bailey Church and her 22 assists. Finally, Laney Immel kept Winneconne's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Leading Chippewa Falls to victory were Ilah Sinz and Brynn Von Haden. Sinz had 12 digs and two assists, while Von Haden had six digs and one assist. That's the most digs Sinz has posted over her last seven matchups.

Winneconne's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Chippewa Falls, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winneconne will head out to face off against Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chippewa Falls, they will venture away from home to square off against Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
