Softball Recap: Weatherford Christian Takes a Loss

If Weatherford Christian was riding high fresh off their 10-3 takedown of Fellowship Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Weatherford Christian came up short against Nazarene Christian Academy on Thursday, falling 9-2. Weatherford Christian hasn't had much luck with Nazarene Christian Academy recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Sydney Carter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season. Lanie Morrison was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Weatherford Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Nazarene Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Weatherford Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nazarene Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Newman International Academy at 4:00 p.m.
