Baseball Recap: Archbishop Carroll Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Archbishop Carroll, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Conwell-Egan Catholic Eagles on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 4-1 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Nick Gilroy was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

Archbishop Carroll now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, their record is now 5-5.

Coming up, Archbishop Carroll will welcome St. Joseph's Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, they will square off against Devon Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games the Tide have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
