Basketball Recap: Bosque Snags Eighth Victory in Last Ten Games

Bosque won the last time they faced Cuba and things went their way on Tuesday too. Everything went the Bosque Bobcats' way against the Cuba Rams as the Bosque Bobcats made off with a 68-48 win. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Bosque's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Josiah Wilson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 assists. Those 11 assists gave Wilson a new career-high. Luca Kalishman was another key player, going 7 of 11 on his way to 18 points.

Wilson wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Bosque was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cuba only posted 14 assists.

Despite the loss, Cuba still got an impressive performance from Delmar Whitehorse, who went 6 for 15 en route to 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryant Cayadito, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 11 points.

Bosque is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points per game. As for Cuba, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Bosque will be playing in front of their home fans against Del Norte at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Del Norte's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches. Cuba has already played their next game (against Sandia Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
