Basketball Game Preview: Pinnacle Pioneers vs. O'Connor Eagles

Pinnacle and O'Connor are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Pinnacle Pioneers just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the O'Connor Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Pinnacle is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Boulder Creek just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a blow against the Jaguars, falling 76-43. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Jaguars are ranked third).

Meanwhile, O'Connor unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 62-61 to Boulder Creek. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Jaguars 23-17 in the first quarter.

Pinnacle's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for O'Connor, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.
