Basketball Recap: Kennedy Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Kennedy extended their home winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Keana Venegas-Alvarez. The Kennedy Commanders breezed past the DSST: Green Valley Ranch Raptors to the tune of 75-10 on Wednesday thanks in part to Venegas-Alvarez, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in field goal percentage (64%).

Another player making a difference was Audrinna Aragon, who went 6-for-8 en route to 12 points and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 45.2% shooting accuracy.

Kennedy has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.3 points over those games. As for DSST: Green Valley Ranch, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-15.
