Football Recap: Clear Fork Comes Up Short

After flying high against Marion Harding last Friday, Clear Fork came back down to earth. The Colts were outmatched by the Shelby Whippets and fell 52-14. The Colts were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-7.

Clear Fork's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Shelby, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Clear Fork and Shelby should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Colts (ranked 91st) will meet Highland (ranked 359th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Shelby will face off against Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th with a big rank advantage (16 vs. 340).
