West Boca Raton had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 64-57 victory over the St. John Paul II Academy Eagles on Friday. The Bulls' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Defeat or not, St. John Paul II Academy got some senior leadership from Dior Johnson and Nick Durham. Johnson posted 25 points and three steals, while Durham went 5 of 8 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds. The match was Johnson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Mesa, who had five points and six assists.

West Boca Raton's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for St. John Paul II Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
