Basketball Recap: Newport Find Success

Newport hadn't done well against Stevens recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Sunday. The Newport Tigers secured a 56-50 W over the Stevens Cardinals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-37 back in December of 2024.

Newport is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Stevens, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
