Soccer Game Preview: Geneva vs. Holy Cross

The Geneva Eagles will face off against the Holy Cross Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Holy Cross took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Geneva, who comes in off a win.

Geneva is coming into the contest on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight wins. They came out on top in a nail-biter against John Paul II on Monday, sneaking past 3-2.

Meanwhile, Holy Cross was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 4-1 to John Paul II.

Holy Cross' loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Geneva, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6-1.

Geneva took their win against Holy Cross in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 8-0. Does Geneva have another victory up their sleeve, or will Holy Cross turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
