Basketball Recap: Algona Comes Up Short

Algona suffered their biggest loss since January 20th on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Clear Lake Lions 84-54. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Lions are ranked 26th).

Algona's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-7. As for Clear Lake, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-2.

As of now, neither Algona nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
