Volleyball Recap: Custer Takes a Loss

Custer came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the St. Thomas More Cavaliers, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Cavaliers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-21, 25-18.

Custer's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 13-3. As for St. Thomas More, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Custer will face off against rival Rapid City Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, St. Thomas More is set to take on their familiar foe Lead-Deadwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
