Baseball Recap: Lone Star Finds Home Field Redemption Against Highland Park

There's no place like home for Lone Star, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They never let the Highland Park Scots get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Rangers: when they faced off against the Scots on Tuesday, they had to take a 5-4 loss.

Not much got past Ross Norman, who gave up just four hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Highland Park off the board. Norman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Chase Lanham was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

Lone Star is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-19 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Highland Park, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-10 record.

As of now, neither Lone Star nor the Scots have any future games scheduled.
