Spring Grove has no trouble against Wabasha-Kellogg

The Spring Grove Lions had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 63-43 margin over Wabasha-Kellogg. Considering Spring Grove has won three contests by more than 19 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Despite the loss, Wabasha-Kellogg had strong showings from Brielle Adams, who scored 19 points, and Madge Strobush, who scored four points along with 13 rebounds and four steals. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Ileana DeAngel, who scored 16 points.

Spring Grove's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Wabasha-Kellogg, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Spring Grove will head out on the road to face off against St. Charles at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. St. Charles comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Wabasha-Kellogg will be home for the holidays to greet Rushford-Peterson at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Rushford-Peterson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wabasha-Kellogg in Minnesota (Rushford-Peterson is ranked 95th, while Wabasha-Kellogg is ranked 344th).
