Basketball Game Preview: Western Dubuque Bobcats vs. Jefferson Hawks

The Western Dubuque Bobcats will head out on the road to challenge the Jefferson Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Western Dubuque, who comes in off a win.

Western Dubuque is coming into the game on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight victories. They came out on top against Washington by a score of 58-50 on Friday. The match marked the Bobcats' most dominant win of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Jefferson was beaten by Dubuque Senior 73-41 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Rams are ranked 23rd).

Western Dubuque's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Jefferson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-12.
