Baseball Recap: Proctor Beats Whitesboro for Their Fourth Straight Win

Proctor waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Whitesboro Warriors 10-2. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by eight runs or more this season.

JAADIEL ROMERO spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, JOSH MARTINEZ and ANTHONY MARINO did most of the damage at the plate: MARTINEZ went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while MARINO got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. MARINO is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of George Garrett, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Proctor's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Whitesboro, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Proctor will head out to square off against Guilderland at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Whitesboro, they will venture away from home to take on Henninger at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
