Basketball Recap: Binghamton's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Wednesday

Binghamton won the last time they faced Maine-Endwell and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Binghamton Patriots came out on top against the Maine-Endwell Spartans by a score of 45-38. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Spartans are ranked 419th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Binghamton is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.2 points per game. As for Maine-Endwell, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Binghamton will challenge Horseheads at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Binghamton comes in on three and Horseheads on six. As for Maine-Endwell, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 50-36 loss against Bainbridge-Guilford on the 30th.
