Soccer Recap: Memphis Central Has No Trouble Against University

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Memphis Central brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. Their defense stepped up to hand the University Tigers a 5-0 shutout on Friday. That five goal margin sets a new team best for Memphis Central this season.

Memphis Central moved to 3-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for University, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Memphis Central wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 4-3 victory against White Station on the 14th. As for University, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Memphis Business Academy at 5:00 p.m. on the 21st.
