Volleyball Game Preview: Lapel Bulldogs vs. Eastern Hancock Royals

The Lapel Bulldogs will face off against the Eastern Hancock Royals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Monday, Lapel made easy work of Monroe Central and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Golden Bears recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Lapel not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Monroe Central between 16 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Eastern Hancock hadn't done well against Daleville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Royals were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Broncos.

While Eastern Hancock won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-10, 27-25, 25-21.

Lapel's victory bumped their record up to 21-8. As for Eastern Hancock, their win bumped their record up to 23-5.
