Baseball Recap: King's Christian Wins Going Away Against LEAP Academy

King's Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the LEAP Academy Lancers 15-1. That looming 15-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this season.

Bryce Brown and Brayden Pickard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Brown struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Pickard pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. At the plate, Brown scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while Pickard scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Pickard is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, King's Christian got a big performance out of Aiden Lawlor, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Levi Smith also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
