Pinecrest extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 5-1. They walked away with a 29-21 win over the Jack Britt Buccaneers. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 21-7 victory the Buccaneers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2021.

Pinecrest's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Najee Gillis, who threw for 259 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes. Eric Melton was Gillis' top target, picking up 98 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

As for Jack Britt, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Jack Britt's loss came despite strong showings from Gavin Stokes and Zykavion Harris. Stokes threw for 222 yards and three TDs, while Harris picked up 71 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Looking ahead, Pinecrest will square off against Overhills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jack Britt, they will challenge Richmond Senior at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Buccaneers will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
