Basketball Recap: North Penn-Mansfield Takes a Loss

If North Penn-Mansfield was feeling good fresh off their 76-54 takedown of North Penn-Liberty last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The North Penn-Mansfield Tigers took a 69-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Troy Trojans on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite the loss, North Penn-Mansfield still got an impressive performance from Cooper Shaw, who went 9-for-18 on his way to 24 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Davis, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 10 points.

North Penn-Mansfield's defeat dropped their record down to 20-4. As for Troy, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-2.

As of now, neither North Penn-Mansfield nor Troy have any future games scheduled.
