Volleyball Recap: Chatham Comes Up Short

Chatham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Vernon Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat back in April.

Chatham's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Vernon, they pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Chatham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Vernon, they will take on Morristown at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings are facing the Colonials at the right time seeing as the Colonials are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
