Basketball Game Preview: Princeton Panthers vs. McKinney Lions

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Princeton Panthers challenge the McKinney Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday... McKinney took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Princeton, who comes in off a win.

Princeton took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 49-37 victory over Plano. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, McKinney played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt an 84-55 loss at the hands of Allen. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Princeton's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 8-16. As for McKinney, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.

Princeton might still be hurting after the 75-52 loss they got from McKinney when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Princeton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
