Recap: Auburn Adventist Falcons vs. Columbia Adventist Academy Kodiaks
The Auburn Adventist Falcons put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Columbia Adventist Academy by a score of 81-72. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Auburn Adventist's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gabe Delgadillo led the charge by scoring 21 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. The match was Delgadillo's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Russell, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Auburn Adventist pushed their record up to 6-0 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Columbia Adventist Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Auburn Adventist will take on Coupeville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Coupeville is ranked 129th, while Auburn Adventist is ranked 126th). As for Columbia Adventist Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Pe Ell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
