Garfield waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Brookfield Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Garfield was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-22, 25-23.

Their offense was headlined by Mandy Cardinal and Lola Lake, who picked up 14 kills apiece. They got some help from Tenley Korosec and her 19 assists. Lily Shay controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Brookfield lost, don't look at Alexia Baker. Despite the final result, she had 21 digs. Baker is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 19 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Garfield's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Brookfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Garfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Southeast on the 8th. As for Brookfield, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against John F. Kennedy Catholic on the 9th.
