Softball Recap: Burgin Takes a Loss

Burgin lost against Berea back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Pirates, falling 18-2. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly 16 runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Burgin and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Berea, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Burgin will challenge Powell County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Berea, they will face off against Knott County Central at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
