After both having extra time off, the Fleming Island Golden Eagles and the Ponte Vedra Sharks will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Fleming Island heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Thursday. They came up short against Middleburg, falling 3-0. The Golden Eagles have struggled against the Broncos recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Fleming Island was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Ponte Vedra got the win against Beachside on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Sharks have posted against the Barracudas since September 8, 2022.

Fleming Island's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Ponte Vedra, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-12.
