While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was Coppell who was credited with the victory. Coppell got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Irving's one. Coppell haven't had any issues with Irving recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Coppell's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those eight games. As for Pebble Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 19-3.
