Basketball Recap: Westwood Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

If Elkhart wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Westwood, they should've done a better job of containing Kavian Bryant. The Westwood Panthers blew past the Elkhart Elks, posting a 75-33 victory thanks in part to Bryant, who went 12 for 23 en route to 34 points and five steals. The game was his 20th in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Carter, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds. What's more, he also racked up five assists, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.

Westwood has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.6 points per game. As for Elkhart, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-17.

Westwood will face off against Groesbeck at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Elkhart has already played their next contest (against Teague), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
