There's no place like home for Hillcrest, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They put the hurt on the Sipsey Valley Bears with a sharp 12-4 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Patriots have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hillcrest's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-8-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Sipsey Valley, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.

Looking ahead, Hillcrest will challenge Brookwood at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brookwood's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Hillcrest's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Sipsey Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tuscaloosa County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tuscaloosa County will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Sipsey Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
