Basketball Recap: Onalaska Skates Past Warren with Ease

Onalaska won the last time they faced Warren and things went their way on Saturday too. The Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Warriors 82-38. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Onalaska's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Patrick Roth led the charge by going 9-for-20 to rack up 19 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. With that strong performance, Roth is now averaging an impressive 2.5 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Spencer Green, who posted 23 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Onalaska smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 45 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Onalaska's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Warren, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Onalaska will take on Martins Mill at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Warren, they will be playing at home against Lumberton at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
