Baseball Recap: South St. Paul Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Thomas Academy, South St. Paul was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Kennedy Eagles. The game was the first time the Packers have beaten the Eagles on their field since May 28, 2016.

The win got South St. Paul back to even at 3-3. As for Kennedy, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South St. Paul will venture away from home to challenge Tartan at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.4 runs per game on average), something the Packers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Kennedy, they will face off against Academy of Holy Angels at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Stars' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
