Basketball Recap: Brianna Allen and Bri Johnsen Secure Win for Hanahan

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hanahan). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 35-32 win over the Philip Simmons Iron Horses on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Leading Hanahan to victory were Bri Johnsen and Brianna Allen. Johnsen went 6 of 11 on her way to 14 points and five rebounds, while Allen posted ten points. Those 14 points gave Johnsen a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Philip Simmons still got an impressive performance from Germany Moore, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.

The victory got Hanahan back to even at 2-2.

Hanahan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-46 win against Academic Magnet on the 6th. As for Philip Simmons, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-26 loss against First Baptist School on the 6th.
