Baseball Game Preview: North Shore Vikings vs. Malverne Mules

For the second straight game, North Shore will face off against Malverne. The Vikings will venture away from home to square off against the Mules at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

North Shore came out on top against Malverne on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run second inning. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Mules. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

For Malverne's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dominik Izzo, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

North Shore's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Malverne, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

North Shore took their win against Malverne when the teams last played on Wednesday by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
