Basketball Recap: Commodore Perry Panthers vs. Erie First Christian Academy
Commodore Perry had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a blow against Erie First Christian Academy, falling 98-52. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.
Erie First Christian Academy was led to victory by Avery Collins and Simon Gonzalez. Collins posted 32 points, while Gonzalez earned 34 points. Collins' big performance that evening made it 25 games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zechariah Rupp, who put up 13 points.
The victory got Erie First Christian Academy back to even at 1-1.
