Legacy Prep Christian Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They secured a 62-56 W over the Second Baptist Eagles on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on 11 straight.

Second Baptist's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eloise Tackett, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was Tackett's seventh in a row with at least 17 points. Grace Wehring was another key player, going 5-for-12 to rack up 14 points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Legacy Prep Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 28-3. As for Second Baptist, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-11.

Looking ahead, Legacy Prep Christian Academy will challenge Bay Area Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Legacy Prep Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. Second Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
