Football Recap: Lima Senior Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Lima Senior extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Ja'Niaus Avanti K'Mere Hall. The Spartans breezed past the Waite Indians to the tune of 44-7 on Friday thanks in part to Avanti K'Mere Hall, who threw for 463 yards and six TDs while picking up 11.9 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 39 yards and one score. He has become a key player for Lima Senior: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 250 passing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

Jermaine Maxwell also helped out as he racked up 152 receiving yards. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 61 yards.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Lima Senior's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jay'Von Batts, Karl Stokes, and Nehemiah Ramsey, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Lima Senior's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Waite, they moved to 4-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Lima Senior will challenge Scott at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Waite does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
