Volleyball Recap: Nine Straight Home Wins for Lutheran

There's no place like home for Lutheran, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Holt Indians on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Lutheran walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 25-19.

Rylan Versemann paced Lutheran's offense, picking up 13 kills. Versemann got some help from Charlie Bennett and his 30 assists.

Lutheran's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-7-1. As for Holt, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lutheran will head out to face off against Notre Dame at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Holt, they will take on Fort Zumwalt South at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight.
